STUDENT LEADERS
The Visitation Student Leaders is a program which teaches leadership skills through practical involvement in school service projects. The student leader program is made up of classroom representatives from grades Kindergarten through 8. Selection for the program is based on academic standing, responsible actions, and self-motivation. Student leader activities include sponsoring food and clothing drives, helping with recycling and anti-drug events, planning and running the upper grade sock hop and primary grade carnival, sponsoring an art fair, selling and distributing candygrams, and participating in the Black History Mass at Holy Name Cathedral.

TECHNOLOGY CLUB
The Visitation Technology Club is a program which promotes student enthusiasm in the field of technology as it relates to their present academic studies in Science and Math and to their future career goals. The Visitation Technology Club meets every Thursday from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Guinta Computer Learning Center (GCLC). The Technology Club members are bound by the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the GCLC and the school for acceptable use of technology in the school and on technology related field trips.
Members of the Visitation Technology Club learn to use and install software, replace computer parts, and how to build a computer starting with an empty computer case. In addition, Technology Club members learn to use peripherals such as scanners, digital cameras, and projectors. They also learn how to properly clean, maintain, and troubleshoot all equipment.
Beginning with the 2004 – 2005 Technology Club not only will the members learn to use the Internet, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint but they will also learn to create a digital yearbook.

JUNIOR CHOIR
The Visitation Junior Choir is a beginning choral training class for students in 3rd through 5th gradewho are musically inclined or vocally gifted. This program teaches students to have discipline, harmony, and sing praises unto God! Students also work on tone and pitch. The students sing a variety of music styles but our main focus is Gospel. They participate in masses and special assemblies.

THE VOICES OF VISITATION
The voices of Visitation is an advanced choral training class for students in 6th through 8th grade. Students in the class work on strengthening their vocal abilities. These students also work on self-discipline, fine-tuning their harmony, and making their tones and pitches blend together as one. They work in a variety of music styles but their main focus is Gospel. They participate in masses, special assemblies, concerts, and other engagements. They are preparing for future competitions and travel outside of the city.

LITURGICAL DANCERS
The Liturgical Praise Dancers is a class for students in 3rd through 8th grade. They learn to express their inner feelings of joy and thanksgiving to God through dance. The dances they perform are a combination of modern, jazz, and cultural forms. The Liturgical Dancers participate in masses and special assemblies

THE HORIZONS CLUB
The purpose of The Horizons Club is to expose accepted student applicants to exciting outdoor activities and learning experiences. The club consists of a group of 12 students who participate in meetings and who plan and engage in activities that expose them to new opportunities to be physically active and exciting learning experiences in nature. Horizon activities have included learning to play Friabee games, hiking in national parks, ice skating, kayaking, and sledding. We plan on visiting a farm this Spring.
